To me the Wii wasnt a failure, i enjoyed the heck out of it. Its just a shame that the last great year for the Wii in terms of a string of decent games was 2010. I enjoyed motion controls if done properly, and despaired when motion controls were tacked on and became pointless waggle.
Its first party line up was very strong, and if you are an educated gamer you would know that there are some decent niche 3rd party titles amidst the party games.Full backward compatabiltiy helped too (as i was missing my Gamecube)
In the end i had played up to 100 Wii titles, and sampled the best the Wii had to offer before finally getting a PS3 to sample some of the top games i had missed out on during my Wii time.
But now its WiiU all the way for me, and even though ive had it a short amount of time, it could be potentially become my favourite Nintendo console of all time. I love the hardware and when the top games come in all their HD glory...well bring it on.
