I agree i think they are sitting on something to show off when the competition gets anounced. I also think that all the unknown about the other two systems is hurting the wii u because so many people are still sitting on the fence. Nintendo is also in a very strange place for them in the market rite now. Once the solid facts are out about the other two systems people will either be disapointed and will take a second look at the U or they will love the new beasts but they will be so expensive the market will correct itself and nintendo can go back to being a very good affordable alternative for most people who cant or wont pay 500-600 for a new game machine.  Either way its good for wii u to get these other consoles out so people can make a decision and it gets them out of the most expensive console slot which is not where they wanna be.

I think you make a good point, BUT... Nintendo screwed that up also. I cant see how anyone will be more disappointed with a new PS4/Xbox hardware tech wise, than a machine (wii-u) that is only slightly better than a peice of kit thats 6/7 years old (ps3/Xbox).... unless they make it totally underpowered (which i cannot see happening. Nintendo should have made the Wii-U more powerful... but they decided to go down the route of keeping the cost down, but then put a big dev cost on the controller instead... crazy.

As for Colonial Marines, this could have been one of the titles that some people were excited about in terms of controller usage, but not only is it going to come out later on Wii-u than PS3/Xbox (any fans will want it day 1 to be honest), there is also some rumours that the game (on all platforms) is not that great :(
