I don't think people thought the 360 would roll over and play dead, what they did say was that the PS3 would do better than the 360 this year and if you've been keeping track of sales thus far you know that they've been spot on thus far.
With that said GTA IV will still be a much bigger game for the 360 than the PS3 and I'm sure we can find common ground on the fact that MS will not simply let Sony take the market with a nod and a wave. They are going to continue doing the best they can to market their product and it will be an interesting battle probably for the entire year.
