Didn't read everything, but as far as I understand, you are saying 3DS and Wii U will be replaced sonner than DS and Wii were.

I agree. Actual consoles are more like "evolutions" or the "next version". I see the 3DS been replaced in 2015-2016 and Wii U in 2016, 2017 at the latest.

For the U I'm starting to believe it will have a GC life.
