unreal engine is the most garbage engine out there, thank god bioware for example now uses frostbite.

The funny thing here is DICE said the FB2 Engine is a lot better working with the PS3 architecture as you could see with BF3 aka the most advanced Multiplatform Shooter.I mean the best looking shooter is running better on the PS3 if you don't count the 10 times better PC Version.Its the only thing that matters.Sadly they change away from the Cell for the PS4 xD
Its all about for what the engine is made of - Unreal Engine is a PC Engine and the 360 is the closest to a PC in terms of architecture.
Maybe they couldn't change so much that it worked flawless or the work doesn't pay off at all in the end so they just make it "running".

But in the case of DmC - The PS3 Version will outsell it at least 2:1.
They didn't need to adjust a lot - The Brand is at home on a Sony Platform.More money for less work.
Just get it for PC - Play it in fluent 60+ FPS like a real Franchise Fan does.

@Unreal Engine
Well the Unreal Engine 3 was probably the most (over) used Engine in this Gen and the most noticable for people who don't know stuff.
Probably one of the reasons Sony is changing the architecture to a more "Noob" Developer friendly console.Hopefully then there won't anyone complain "OMG its so hard to work on the PS3 mimimi"...Yeah Naughty Dog didn't have to work with the same architecture right?xD
The UE4 will probably be the most used engine again in the Next Gen.Most other engines are closed of or to expensive to afford for other studios.
SquareEnix said Luminous will only be used for their Japanese side of developers.CryEngine3 is damn expensive to license and the FB2 Engine will be used intern for EA games.
Then you have the choice between the UE4 that even "small" people(even at home to mess around) can afford(i think it only costs 10k$) or the Call of Duty Engine from 1999.
Pretty easy choice especially for smaller studios.
