2005-06 was worse than any year after IMO. I practically gave up gaming during that period because there was nothing on the GC after RE4 came out, and I wasn't going to drop $400-$600 on a new console with hardly any games worth playing.
Thankfully 2007 changed all that when I got a Wii and a 360.
