I am not going to blame Apple as much as the consumers who rush to buy the new product every year. They are more or less responding to the market pressure as in android land a product sometimes gets outdated in 3-4 months (hardware wise). Up here in the north (Canada) we have 3 year long contracts. I got ipride 3g back in 08 and it lasted me 4 years before it feel down for 100th time and i had to get a new non iproduct. What i am saying is people don't have to buy. Same with any luxury product.
Also i avoid these rumours. I checked macrumours so much before iPhone 4S and 5 came out it gave me a headache.
