Exactly.....proved my point. |
the only potential retail exclusive that could move units last year was PSallstars and that had dismal pre-orders and was a new IP so you could see it coming that it wouldn't provide a big initial spike. LoU, GoW, Beyond, and even Sly doing decent pre-orders with all but Sly far from release. After all those and a price cut when they anounce PS4/at E3 they will see a decent spike. I could see PS3 doing 10 million considering it had nothing to move systems last year (games or price cut). LoU could be huge for the survival horror genre if it's done right and let's be honest it's ND so it's gonna be done right. That's the kind of game that can move systems through word of mouth. You are right about 1 thing though, Sony must market things right. If they can get that market together and make them show gameplay and get the basic point of the game accross through narration they'll see some big sales during the year with GoW (one of Sony's big 3 along with Uncharted and GT), price cut, and LoU. Journey was the biggest critically acclaimed exclusive last year and it was downloadable. They gave no incentive last year for anyone who didn't buy a PS3 in 11 to buy one then yet it only declined 20%. With some big system selling moves this year we could see 10% or even less decline.
