Just have HD models of what they used in the last 3D Pokemon Stadium like game and add the style that is seen in the OP - of course Nintendo would never go at the heights that other Japanese developers/companies would go like Squareenix/Capcom/Namco (in terms of the graphic design).

Exactly. All they would have to do with PBR would be to clean it up a little and add some more color. (Other graphical enhancements would be nice too.) But the one showed in the OP is just a little blah.
