Are people forgetting that most of the games on Wii U are on other systems with much larger user bases, for cheaper prices? AC3, ME3, Batman and so forth. id bet my bottom dollar that must be a factor if not a large one.

This. The ports were not enough to make people buy it again. No graphical update and meaningless features can't do magic. They had big franchises for this launch (Mario, JD, COD, AC) and Nintendo simply let the holiday go missing a big oportunity.

From now on we have these games coming likely before E3: Lego City Undercover, Game and Wario, Pikmin 3, Wii Fit U, The Wonderful 101, MH3 Ultimate, Rayman Legends, Aliens port.

Bayonetta and SSB are 2014 at best.

That line-up wouldn't look bad if the console had third party support to fill some gaps between those games.

Nintendo needs to go and get at least some ports released at the same time, and in my opinion this should be the ones: GTAV (Rockstar support), RE6 U Edition-REvelations Unveiled-Remember me (Capcom support), Tomb Raider-FF XIII LR (SE support), Next Splinter Cell (moré Ubisoft). I'm sure even if they can get a DSII port it could grab the attention of some 'dedicated' gamers.

Let's see what Nintendo can do about this, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think Lego will do ok, Game and Wario, not sure how that does on home consoles. Pikmin3 will be a slow burn IMHO, that is not a system mover. Same for Wonderful 101., not a system mover. MH3 wont do anything for the system outside of Japan, Rayman MIGHT do something for Europe but after the last game im not holding my breath. Aliens will do just like the 3rd party ports i mentioned which will be f**k all.

GTA5 aint happening at least not at the same time, RE6 I could see, but like I said late ports are not going to do anything, Remember me, doubt it. Tomb Raider, they already said no, FF13, dont see it, thats not a system mover either.  Splitner Cell, doubt it.
