Wait!!! You're telling me that a 10 year life cycle DOESN'T mean it'll be 10 years before there's a successor, then you cite the PS2 being available for 12 years.
Clearly Sony has waited more than 12 years to release a legitimate successor to the PS2, so I don't get your meaning. On one hand you say a 10 year life cycle doesn't mean 10 years before a successor is released, but then it's been 12 years since the PS2 was released and Sony hasn't released a successor to it. I'm lost.
