These were the prices in Mediamarkts (largest distributor in mainland Europe) this Xmas season:

$229 XBox 250G game bundle

$279 XBox250/Kinect game bundle

$349 PS3 500G game bundles

$429 white WiiU bundle

$549 black WiiU bundle

Those are prices with taxes and store margins.. so I think your idea of "MS should drop the price..." is somewhat irritating, to say the least. They are lowest priced by a large margin (not difficult to see why the WiiUs didn't exactly fly off the shelves)

I don't give a damn how irritating it might be..

 

They haven't dropped the 360s low-end sku price here in America since 2008
