If I understand correctly.

If Nintendo used the GameCube strategy of; being just like the competition in every way with the bonus of exclusive content. Then I believe.... NO!!

The best thing about Nintendo is they innovate. Sony can't, AT ALL, so they copy and tweak. It worked for Sony because they knew what's "Cool" and what's not. Nintendo would need to go full-out ULTRA 64 style for that strategy to work.

Besides, they would rather use their imagination than compete in the expensive graphics arena.

But the Gamecube produced some excellent games, much better games than it's "innovative" succesor. Gimmicks don't make excellent games.

I want excellent games too and I would love to see Nintendo graphical route (along side brutally mature content).  But how are we measuring the system's success?  The dreamcast proved that great games with great graphics don't guarantee market dominance or survival.  Clearly you have two avenues to succeed: Xbox route is to beat Sony at Thier own game(who's coolest): Wii route is be yourself be different.

But just thinking about it i Really want now for Nintendo to show us some GameCube style games.  It's just hard to predict that kinda success.
