Would a modern day Gamecube succeed?

GCN2 would be awesome, I would be getting it without a doubt, but they would have to change the style and colour!! I remember back in the day I could only get one console and I remember that for some time I was hesitating which one to choose, PS2 or X-box. These were the only consoles I was interested in, cause DC was already dead and once I saw GCN I didn't even want to know anything about the system. I just ignored it totally, didn't care about what they games were released on it, didn't know the price, anything. I totally ejected it out of the quation upon seeing the colour of the console. I was a teenager. Wanted a cool console, not... I don't even know how to comment that colour. They must have been smoking some sick stuff when they approved it. And the disgusting colours on the controller... I wonder how many millions of $ has the choice of colour of the console and cotroller cost them.

So when it comes to me, I'm going to get Wii U once it hits the $150 price tag only for a couple of Nintendo 1st party games, I'll probably buy them used or discounted. I would get a GCN2 much, much earlier and buy much more games for it.
