My issue, as previously discussed, is that it seems to lean one way more than the other, although torillian made a good point to the contrary (and i myself am playing two good points to the contrary: Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge and Arkham City: Armored Edition). |
Well, I mean, in the publisher's defense, isn't that logical? The Wii couldn't run a lot of what could run on the PS3/360, but the PS3/360 could run everything that appeared on the Wii. That the Wii hardware was the odd-man-out wasn't the developer's fault.
The Wii U is a different story, of course, but it's also a different situation. It just probably isn't worth the cost or time to port a PS3/360 game to the Wii U when the installed base is a tiny fraction of the size. How many Wii U owners also own a PS3/360? I bet it's a high amount, which means it would be a major redundency for little return. I can't blame them for that.
No, as a next gen device, the Wii U should be judged on whether or not it's getting -next gen- multi-plats, not PS3/360 games. If that turns out to the be the case, then I would be interested in knowing why. Until then, the current situation just seems logical to me.
