Nintendo is very future proofed because their sales are based off of a lower pricepoint and exclusive content. New hardware being added in competition can't erase the existance of exclusive content which drives mega sales.  Just like how TV is still doing great because they focused on great content and you're seeing the highest ratings ever for shows like the Walking Dead despite all the new competition for people's time.
