Neither do gamers, really. This site's community, filled with adequately informed gamers, has done laughably in predicting the sales of just about everything it has tried in the past few years. Ex: 3DS launch, 3DS doom, Vita launch, Wii U launch, etc.
Also, people here still hold on to silly ideas like new IPs being a necessarily good thing for sales. Plus, lots of people seem to expect far too much from reviewer-loved or niche games. They really don't know anything.
