It's okay to be optimistic, but you should be realistic at the same time ...
Only so many gamers are actually swayed by graphics which is why the Gamecube, XBox, XBox 360 and PS3 sell far worse than the PS2 inspite of having very pretty games. Gamers are price conscience and only so many gamers who are willing to spend $500+ on a single (or handful) of games.
Essentially, you will see an increase in sales from the release of good games but its probably not going to be to a level higher than the XBox 360 is currently selling.
