Don't know what to make of this way of thinking.  What were you or any of us contributing to the economy as children. Unless you are advocating early employment for children I don't know how they could "contribute anything". I was always under the impression that childhood was the time to study and make ourselves ready to contribute as adults but it sounds like you may have a different perspective.

If you do please enlighten us.

What's there there to understand?   Kids are an expense and don't bring in any revenue.   Therefore in an evenly distributed society those with childen will be poorer.  Therefore... a higher percentage of children will be on foodstamps then women or men.
