Still haven't finished the Witcher 2, but I have quite enjoyed it. I wouldn't say I am jumping with excitement over the sequel, but I am sure it will be worth a play

wait until you get to the end...

I had to leave my computer for 2 weeks, so stopped at the end of Act 2. I started Act 3 and died really quickly.... Then ran away to Far Cry 3 instead. The problem is, it quite a tricky game and I am a little stupid, I only just worked out the fatigue system properly and that the healing spell (ard?) stops your mana (?) from regening. Added to that, I got myself the andreniline magic power and I am getting rather confused

You mean the sheild? Yea that stops you regaining mana while it's active. It's still pretty OP as it removes damage from at least one attack. But you still don't want to get hit, rolling to dodge attacks and get behind enemies is key (backstab does extra damage to most enemies). What have you been putting your skill points into? Also bombs are very useful to have especially against multiple enemies as their AoE and effects are great crowd control.

Far Cry 3 is pretty fun tho. I have been meaning to finnish my EE Dark difficulty playthrough but new games keep getting released and Steam keeps having sales lol.

Magic! I used to use the shield all the time, but I got bored with all the rolling around. Now I tend to lay some magic traps, roll and roll and roll and then stab in the back. It generally works fine, but can cause issues in the tighter environments. I haven't parried in the entire game, but I do generally try and keep and shield on when I go on the offensive

I have crafted myself some bombs and I do try to use them, but am generally more reliant on magic.
