Problem is, the hardware is not turning a profit as it is, they simply can't afford to cut the price for some time yet. When they become profitable, it will be a poor move to cut the price below the profit margin again and start all over. They need to focus on making their existing product more easily saleable, not hoping that an eventual price cut in the future might help them sell more.
