And here's the Engadget hands on with the new Xperia Z

http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/07/sony-xperia-z-hands-on-ces-2013/

damn I do want :S

according to a german news-site it will come for 650 euros - way too pricey, i think.

Without contract right? If so makes sense. This is a pretty high end device so I expected it to be around $500 or more to start. I'm guessing $200 with a contract. It should go down in price towards the end of the year though

are you from us? in germany more and more people buy their smartphone without contract because of very quick market-changes so noone wants to bind with a provider for 2 years where he can't get off the contract. additionally sony-phones are not very popular when ppl decide to make a contract.

generally i think android-smartphones still have to cost a good amount less than iphones to be successful. the highest price for me would be 400 € to buy an android-smartphone.
