Because the 360 controller has become insanely popular and prefered by many people.

The only thing i hate about the 360's controller is the shoulder buttons. i get confused. im used to L1 L2 R1 R2. not lb ld dh sa ws.

Honestly I hope they change the playstation conroller with PS4.  Not a big fan of the PS3 controller although they have improved it since PS1/PS2 and even early PS3
