Dear God! They probably just broke even then.

"Microsoft has just confirmed that Halo 4, its big first-person shooter of the year, has racked up $220 million in sales during its first 24 hours on sale worldwide."

End of the week sales brought it up around $300 million (with 3.85 million copies sold) and it's not a big stretch to say it's made over $450 million so far and will probably settle around $550-700 million lifetime.
