Night Slash has a 50% spread on types other than Dark primary or secondary (taking in account pokes that learn it only be levelling up), heck even Cryogonal learns it and it's a pure Ice Type that has one of lowest attack base stat for a non-evolution poke.
Not saying that it won't be a Grass/Dark type, it would be a pretty awesome typing for a starter (Shiftry is one of my favourite Grass pokemon because of it), but most Dark moves are usually very spread amongst other types.
