I guess that's the pessimistic view on the world-wide release. Haha
By the way, there has been some recent progress in a 3DS hack, and unless Nintendo catches it early it'll be likely that it's hacked. Of course, for a hardcore pokemon fan competitive battles are quite easy to structure online and it's not a problem.
