its just an odd name for a computer file. Maybe if they had called it crumbs or something, I don't know.
Anyway, I figured it out. They are named after magic cookies, which is some kind of file type in the unix operating systems. The magic cookie term either came from computer games or a popular tv show, nobody seems to really know that one. Either way, now I know!
