Seems like the article is true because the same writer wrote another three days ago about the end in Japan... now it wrote again about the end in worldwide.
The latest shipment figure for Sony is 155.1 million as end of March, 2012.
I think the last shipment is end of December, 2012... there is two three more quarters of shipment to add.
