Guess Nintendo figures they could ride the success of NSMB and Monster Hunter for awhile, which funny enough, they actually probably could considering the massive popularity of both those games there. Or maybe they figure because they have no competition atm and not for the foreseeable future, it's not dire to crank out games, and they can build up for later in the year when it becomes more necessary.

But also Japan has always seemed to have a trickle of releases compared to other markets, especially for Nintendo consoles.
