I think a lot of people did. Why do you think so many people put up a Wii U on Ebay, they thought it would have been sold out just like the Wii was when it first released.

I'm not too sure actually... Those who bought one and intended to sell it on eBay probably wasn't gamers and don't know anything about games in general. I don't think anyone around HERE thought it would sell like Wii...

Were you asking if the members on this site really thought it would sell like the wii or the general public? If you were talking about the members on this site, then I can't answer that. As for the general public, I think they did and the preorders made it seem that way as well.

I don't think the general public even knows what the Wii U is or that it's out! xD Nintendo's done a poor ass job marketing this console...
