2.) I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Are you saying 3rd party games wouldn't appeal to Wii U owners?

3.) Multiplats will help. Without them, that leaves Nintendo as the sole source to provide games with the Wii U, and we all saw how that turned out for the Wii. Yes, exclusives 3rd party games are important, but I seriously doubt we'll be seeing many notable 3rd party exclusives next generation. If this generation has showed us anything, it's that 3rd party loyalty is gone. Aside from the rare title like Bayonetta (which isn't that big to begin with) , I don't we'll see the Wii U or any console getting many 3rd party exclusives.

You definitely seem confused about what I am saying so I'll try my best to clarify. I would buy the multiplats. Other wii u owners would buy the multiplats. But the people who bring up this argument about third party support, what about them? What if gta v, lightning returns, dark souls ii and metal gear zeroes were all confirmed for wii u? Note, none have been ruled out so it is possible. Would they go out and buy it? Or would people turn the cheek and say "oh they have third party support now but they can't keep it". For multiplats its simple. Things just slide into place if you play your cards right. Thats the reason the multiplats argument holds no value. Wii u could have every big multiplat of this year and I'd wager it still wouldn't 'convince' people. Thats what I'm trying to say there. Its the people calling wii u on it and complaining in the first place that are at fault. They complain but fail to do anything when it gets addressed to them. Aliens and injustice are on wii u. They are better examples. People could go buy them but how many of them that complained in the first place will? That is the real problem behind this myth of third parties on wii u. Its not that they can't sell. Its that the large majority of people who own multiple systems don't take the option as they are given it whereas I do. It would be great for me if wii u had those multiplats but I bet the majority would just be shrugging it off anyway. I'd wager they go with the latter scenario and say "they won't keep it". They'd be saying "why should I go out and buy a wii u when I can get those on my ps3/360?" But for multiplats, if nintendo use this well, yes things will just slide into place and multiplats will get there by default.

For the others you never know. I suspect sony's struggles with ps3 and vita will have hurt their reputation. Then you have to note that sony could very well be too late to make an impact on the market since it seems highly unlikely they are releasing this year. There are tonnes of ways this could go. I don't think it will be as simple as the others coming out and wii u being abandonned. The others face some serious problems by using power as a selling point. People think power will be enough but its more likely that it will come down to the games. One thing nintendo can play to their advantage is the japanese market. Microsoft isn't accepted there and nintendo are. Trust me, this time next year for japan at least, you'll understand precisely why getting monster hunter and dragon quest helped them. I expect a lot of japanese games (and these are the games I care about in general anyway) to get on there by default. Even long after the others come out. But for multiplat support, things just slide in place later. I would love to play dark souls ii on wii u. Hopefully I get the chance but for the average 360 and ps3 user they would probably shrug it off anyway. This year wii u is likely to get some late ports and day and date releases. After that we'll have to see. The consumers will decide.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D
