it makes sense for Doom 4 to be a cross gen title. Carmack said it would target 30fps on PS360 and also that they would be showing the PC a bit more love than with RAGE due to the franchise having PC roots.
That sets the stage for 60fps Doom 4 with PC bells and whistles on next gen hardware.
