While I don't know the exact figures, there is no doubt that Sony incurred the greatest losses in North America. At the time the Euro was stronger and the launch price in Australia was ridiculous ($1000) lol.

We would need to get the launch prices, exchange rates and first week sales in all regions to get a more accurate picture although overall Sony was undoubtedly in the red by a significant amount. Hope that helps :)

They lost $2bn that year in the gaming sector.
