With a good lineup, Wii U should dominate in 2013. PSP, DS, and Wii sales crashed after the announcement of a successor console. DS and PSP hit a real low after that console released (Wii probably will too). PS3 and 360 should crash in 2013, and I seriously doubt PS4/Nextbox will do much better then the PS360 launches, which paled in comparision to Wii/WiiU. Next year, with dominating WiiU and 3DS sales, Nintendo will own.

Plus Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest VII, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Monster Hunter 4, and a rumored Donkey Kong Land, 3DS will own. Lets see what happens for Wii U come E3.

Agreed. I think Nintendo has hit its stride with the 3DS so I'm not really worried about that. For the Wii U however I suspect Nintendo will hold its cards very close to its chest especially when it come to games like Metroid and Zelda that will likely sell Wii Us. Mario has alreay been released, so it's almost inevitable that something big, other than Mario, will be annoucned at E3 2013 for end of year. I read somewhere that Nintendo was planning a Zelda end of 2013 realease to compete with the launch of 720 and Netbox, but they scrapped that in favour of a 2014 release, which I think is wiser.

That's not necessarily true. 3DS had Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 for its first holiday season...and then New Super Mario Bros 2 and Paper Mario for its second, with no other major releases for the holidays.

I agree with you, I feel something big other then Mario will be announced (Most likely a Metroid game from Retro Studios, or Smash Bros.), but there could just as easily be just another Mario game.

That's because Wii U was coming out, Nintendo is not crazy like Sony who always seems to cannibolise its own software and hardware sales. I think Nintendo actively killed the Wii and I belive also the DS, so that they don't compete with 3DS and WiiU. Now that Wii U has launched expect that Nintendo will alternate significant software releases between 3DS and Wii U for 2013. It would have silly for nintendo to have release any big titles for 3DS during Wii U launch, or made any other significant moves like bundles, or price drops for 3DS during that time. However, I expect such in 2013, a more agressive Nintendo.
