Indeed the sudden surge in WiiU doom threads is astonishing (without me even making one). But look, Nintendo already used many trump cards : low price, 2D mario, Monster Hunter, exclusives (ZombiU, Bayo2, NG3RE), party game, new controls and yet they weren't capable of creating a dynamic during the busiest time of the year. Now that holidays have ended and that Nintendo's main target audience has left the shopping malls, sales will only worsen. And WiiU has little margin for improvement as third parties seem to leave it out of their plans beyond spring 2013.

I can't quite agree.
1.) If people buy a console for 1 game they won't do it until the game is released, so don't count out Bayo2 yet.
2.) In fact they haven't used their biggest trump cards yet: 3D Mario, Mario Kart U, a new SSB, Metroid and Zelda have yet to be announced. And while most of them don't sell as good as a 2D Mario they improve the image of the console they are released on.
3.) You ignored the entire spring lineup

1. It may have triggered purchases from skeptics already nonetheless
2. I don't agree. Those games are aimed at Nintendo loyals mostly : those people will already have a WiiU by then.
3. Which is?

2.) So you predict 10-30 Mio sales for 2013? Because that's what most of these games sold. 3.)Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Lego City Undercover, Wonderful 101 and some more I don't know by heart.
