So, of the 170+ million people who owned a previous generation console every gamer who is heavily motivated by technically advanced graphics owned a high end PC or XBox 360 in 2006? I don't think so ...
From what I remember, a lot of PS2 gamers bought a Wii when they found out the PS3 was $600 even though they were highly interested in advanced graphics. I suspect they believed that, since the Wii was more powerful than the Gamecube and the Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2, there would be a nice graphical jump from 1st generation Wii games to games down the road; and when these games didn't arrive and the PS3/XBox 360 dropped in price, they left the Wii for other systems.
Games like The Legend of Zelda: Twiligh Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, and Resident Evil 4 showed the promise of the Wiimote and Nunchuck but few developers followed the lead set by these games; and for gamers looking for visually impressive games, the average third party PoS that looked worse than Dreamcast games was not cutting it.

If they were what you originally said, graphic whores, obviously they were playing on devices which offered good graphics.
How does tp/smg use motion controls? I know that RE4 has a lightgun or something like that.

No I said "of the 170+ million people who owned a previous generation console every gamer who is heavily motivated by technically advanced graphics owned a high end PC or XBox 360 in 2006?" ...
If 33% of those gamers could be considered to be heavily motivated by graphics technology there would be 56 million of them (based on previous generation console sales), yet there were only 8 million XBox 360s sold when the Wii launched. Now, 33% of gamers may not be that highly motivated by graphics technology, but I think that 33% is a closer estimate than the 4.7% that owned an XBox 360 when the Wii launched.

This is getting tiresome, so far you have showed no game which would appease a graphic whore and a person who was interested in wiimote. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the complaints of said crowd were justified. No good games for them on wii.
kthxbye
