So how did the title use motion controls? Be honest, I own the game and can easily check the facts out. Graphically that game was not appealing to graphic whores, since gears set the par way higher on consoles. And that is not even considering pc. My guess is that both requirements were not met, so is there another try? |
So, of the 170+ million people who owned a previous generation console every gamer who is heavily motivated by technically advanced graphics owned a high end PC or XBox 360 in 2006? I don't think so ...
From what I remember, a lot of PS2 gamers bought a Wii when they found out the PS3 was $600 even though they were highly interested in advanced graphics. I suspect they believed that, since the Wii was more powerful than the Gamecube and the Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2, there would be a nice graphical jump from 1st generation Wii games to games down the road; and when these games didn't arrive and the PS3/XBox 360 dropped in price, they left the Wii for other systems.
Games like The Legend of Zelda: Twiligh Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, and Resident Evil 4 showed the promise of the Wiimote and Nunchuck but few developers followed the lead set by these games; and for gamers looking for visually impressive games, the average third party PoS that looked worse than Dreamcast games was not cutting it.
