PS3 and 360's sales will erode quickly (they are already eroding) once their successors are announced which could be at E3 or earlier and will drop right off once next gen systems are out. Especially if the 720 is $99 or $199 (with 3yr contract).
PS3 will have better afterlife than 360 because Sony is much better established in developing countries but unless Sony allows the PS3 to be cracked wide open for piracy, it won't come close to PS2 sales in those markets.
