360 already had a price drop in north america and it didn't do much "if anything at all" and what happens if the PS3 had a pricecut also?

$50 aint much. MS squeezing every cent of profit out of 360 while its still selling.More importantly though Europe didnt get one, which was a huge mistake the past holidays.
I can easily see these prices before the next Xbox launch to keep 360 relevant and selling:
$129-149 - 4 gig 360
$199 - 250 gig 360
$199 - 4 gig/kinect 360
$299 - 250gig/kinect 360
Kinect - $99

Back in 2010 DS got a price cut as well. It had almost almost no effect other than a small 1 or 2 week bump in Europe. In America sales actually decreased in the following NPD. And that was almost a year before the 3DS launch. Price doesn't matter once you reach saturation, which is what the 360s about to reach in the US. Europe is a different matter but I don't expect a price cut there to have much effect either. They had one in Iberia last year and sales didn't pick up at all.

If your talking casuals, 360 is far from saturation. It it could take is a nice Spirng Bundle for every 360 sku and some solid MS marketing, which we know they are more then able.
We shall see, just a matter of when and by how much they decide to cut. They have been stingy with the price for more then 4 years, Id imagine nows the time to finally get serious.
