Out of all Nintendo franchise that I hate the most was the Donkey Kong franchise, just for the sake it starring DK. That stems from him being the first prime enemy of Mario. I was a full-blown Mario-crack-head during my upbringing, DK was on the top my hate/rage/kill-list, tied with Bowser, just because they were Mario's nemesis, but after having knowledge that DK was coming back in DKC for the SNES, he got cattapulted to the top leaving Bowser way behind.
A friend of mine introduced me to DKC2, thinking it would make me come to terms with DK, however it did not. In fact it made me fueled my rage against the stubborn gorrila even more just because the game was so hard that I died countless of time. Give in mind that I still had a mindset of a "hardcore Mario-fan".
When I acquired the N64, DK was my wipping sapien of choice in the Mario spin-offs. Got Smash Bros. and boy did I let out my frustration on him to the point you would think the character made me gone banana's for his existence. XD
By the time the 6th was going through the half period, I finally come to terms that my hatred towards the big lug was really getting the best of me as a person, at the same time realized my hatred towards the Sony's Playstations and Microsofts Xboxes was doing the same thing...
Looking back on it, I never hated any other franchise other than DK's, I guess when a kid puts his mind on something from his/her early childhood, he/she might really not let it go for a long time and quite possibly never...
