Can I say one thing that's relevant here? I think 343 has pumped new life into the Halo series with Halo 4.
Honestly the campaign story is way better then Reach.. The Reach campaign never got my Adrenalin pumping.. and from I hear they ( Bungie ) outsourced the making of the campaign. I also rightfully blamed Bungie for BS like Armor Lock in the multiplayer game.. Thankfully 343 has removed armor lock..
The multiplayer aspect of the game is way better was well.. Oddball ( for those who don't know is the carrying of a skull - and whose team possesses it most ) in Reach just sucked.. In Halo 4 they added realism.. now you can 'actually' throw the skull to a teammate.. They also have dominion.. which is sweet.. slayer - but also controlling bases.. stuff you'd expect in the training of soldiers..
Slayer is better then ever.. they balanced weapons and added sweet weapons and COMPLETELY UPDATED the sounds.. any weapon ( including crap I used to hate ) sounds modern now and real..
You never knew until Halo 4 sounds were redone that the sounds they used before were the same 10 year old ones from Halo 1 ( Combat Evolved )..
I think Halo 4 has a real chance of coming closes to Halo 3 in sales- despite its (H4's) disadvantage of having a shorter life cycle then H3.. Halo 3 had a 3 year life cycle until Reach ( no one considered ODST a real and full game - as it was meant as an expansion ).. Halo 4 will only have 2 years until H5..
We're likely looking at a game that will sell 10 or 11 million.. H3 did 11.7 million lifetime.. if H4 can EVEN come close to 11 million in two years ( since it took H3 3 years to do 11.7 ) then that would prove its true success to the series..
