Why is everybody saying halo is front loaded and not a long legged title? Sure halo has great openings, but it has legs as well. Halo games dont stop selling people!

I guess you haven't seen my sig. Take a look.

Think he means full Halo titles. Your listing a expansion. Why dont you make your sig a little more logical and find out Halo Reachs 2012 sales?

Jaywoods post also sums up my thoughts nicely.

1)ODST isn't an expansion, it's a full retail game and people happily paid full price for it.

2) Reach would invalidate the comparison (even though yours is nonsensical to begin with). Here's why:

GT5 - release 2010

Halo3:ODST - release 2009

You compare GT5 to not 1 but 2 other games. One from 2011, and one from 2012.

I compare Halo 3:ODST to just 1 game, from 2011. (1.5 years apart, between release of Forza 4(1 year) and Forza Horizon (2 years))

The comparison is completely valid according to your sig, which is why it's hilarious that you state that mine isn't and yours is.

To put it simply, you're comparing an old game's legs to a new game's front-loaded numbers. It's stupid.

Here's what a valid comparison looks like:

Lifetime sales:

GT series - 65.78m

Forza series - 15.16m

He is using time frame and how much each IP has sold in a specific time fram.  When a new game gets released the last game of that series numbers will start to fall.  It's like if GT6 got released now then you would see GT5 sells stop. It really isn't that hard to figure out.

Mario 500m
GT series 65.78m

Because that is even right?
