But it is 0.6m, you just said so.  Please dont treat games shipments like hardware shipments.  They dont press a few thousand then a few thousand more to order.  They ship large quantities for extended periods of sales.

and who said anything about shelves and ships.  If PD ships to SCEA or SCEE for future bundles etc they are still shipped as far as PD are concerned.

How many Halo games do you think have been shipped? 9m?  I'd say yes, about that.

It would be 600,000 units of GT5 still yet to be sold from September. Those 600,000 probably wont be done by VGC until say, February? Are you saying that PD shipped stock for ~5 Months?

Its pretty obvious that its undertracked.

1.3 Million is too much, no matter what you say. It wasnt selling outstandingly when the numbers were announced and its nowhere near selling out said September shipment. Nothing will change my mind on this.

Halo 4? No idea. What numbers have Microsoft or 343i released?.

they dont release numbers and you know it.

Go look at the shipment history of GT5 and learn a little.

By Dec 2010 6m

By Sep 2011 7.3m

By Dec 2011 7.4m (100k extra)

By Sept 2012 9.1m

Bt Dec 2012 9.1m I reckon.... zero extra shipped.

Its pretty obvious they ship in large quantities.

It may well be the final shipment for some considerable time for all we know.

ALL I AM SAYING is shipment data alone does not tell us confident sell through numbers for software.

You can currently offer me nothing more than this.

so we go by your assumptions now? cool

"ALL I AM SAYING is shipment data alone does not tell us confident sell through numbers for software."

it pretty much does, mostly in this  case to, as they wouldnt ship if there was not any demand and people werent buying it. simple logic.

You are basing your opinions around assumptions as well and then stating them as facts.  He is being a little more logical than you actually.  It is clear that Gran Turismo is being shipped in high amounts and it has yet to sell through it's last shipment which is why we haven't seen another shipment.  If they were rare to find this would be a different story but you can go anywhere and buy GT5 which means it hasn't sold through it's shipment of 9.19m.

This whole thread has become pathetic and about downplaying the other game but if you use a business mind you can clearly see which has been more successful.  But we will ignore that and keep downplaying both games.  But if you guys are going to argue, don't go off of your opinions.  9.19m is shipped not sold and it is also a possibility that Halo 4 has already shipped 9m as we don't know how many it's shipped, but hey let's ignore that too and then bring up a limited edition bundle that is $400.  Not to mention that people who bought that bundle were probably big fans of Halo and bought it for Halo 4.  Oh and btw that means that the bundle sold for an extra $150.  Now I'm not going to do the math but I'm pretty sure that pays for both Halo, the 360, and makes money.  But hey let's ignore that and while we are at it let's ignore that GT5 is one of the most bundled games this gen and it has been on bargain bin price for a long time.  Let's ignore that Halo 4 has sold 7m at full retail price and without bundle.  let's ignore all the DLC it has sold and how many XBL gold account it has got to sign up.  Let's just say Halo 4 has not been successful what so ever and downplay it and say GT5 is the most successful exclusive.  Oh wait am I forgetting about Halo 3?  Oh we can ignore that too since we ignore all other logic.
