And there is your mistake, even though the Wii was way underpowered and it lacked the support of the third party it took more than 4 years to lose sales, because it was killing from 2006-2010, even if you take the worst case scenario and say that this time the sales will never be as high and the decrease cames faster (only 3 years after the PS4 or Next Xbox release) that would mean at least 2016 for the decline.
And all predictions say that in 2017-2018 we will see a new console from Nintendo. So NO, Nintendo will not release a new home cosole in the next 2 to 3 years, it will do it between 2017-2018 like it usually do with 5 years cycle.
