In all, or almost all instances you're referring to, Nintendo launced first, so naturally competition had slightly more powerful hardware, but nothing so drastically different as Wii/PS360 (even DS/PSP don't count since DS is a significant upgrade power-wise over GBA). So if anything Nintendo far outlasted competition in handful of the situations you listed despite not being technologically superior. Here goes down your entire point you're trying to make.

Something kept Wii from being able to get a 50% marketshare this time out versus the HD Twins.  Must have had something to do with the third parties preferring the Twins since, like their next iterations are going to be, they were quite a bit more powerful than Wii.
