This was a third installment not a new game! Like Yellow added features, Crstal added a girl player, Emerald added both villain teams together and a battle frontier, platinum perfected diamond/pearl, Pokemon BW2 did things different! Instead of "Gray" version with just new move tutors, a tiny bit more challenging gyms,elite 4, and champion, We got a new story, bonus feats, etc... If you want it to be brand new, We all kno it would of failed there but its not new, Its a third installment'!!!!
