Let me know how long their automatic transmission lasts.  I went with a manual 05 Civic after having 2 '93 Dodge Intrepids (first model year) which had multiple problems.  Dodge transmissions usually suck.  Hence why the article even mentions that it didn't get recommended due to powertrain issues.

I did go through one clutch and had some rework done on my lower gears which cost about 2k on my Civic.  Chump change when compared to the problems I faced with Dodge vehicles.

I'm pretty sure they all got the manual transmission, but ya Dodges are known for their transmission problems.
