1. i'd say many but most? when i grew up, sony built hifi-stuff.
2. you say that casuals by cod, halo and gears of war million times? it is casuals that buy so many games for x360? yes, a kinect-game is the highest-selling game on x360 but the other facts say a different thing.

1. Yes, most. The PS1 came out way back in 1994 and dominated the competition, same goes for PS2.
2. By casuals, I mean those that don't follow gaming news..those that only buy 1 or 2 games a year like Madden + COD or Halo.

2. I doubt that *any* fanbase is not casual by that definition... buying 1 or games a year like fifa + cod.
