Sony's biggest obstacle heading into next generation

That go o'l Sony arrogance. Let's not forget they started the war with MS by announcing they were going to steal all the gamers off PC and make Microsoft irrelevant. They walked away from the video console talks and came out with the Beta first. And then with the new disk format, they refused to work with Microsoft and have a common HiDef improved format - thus another format war - and it helped the streaming industry.

Now us consumers have benefited from the current competitions between MS and Sony. We have more selections and options because they are each competing for us as a consumer.

Their current financials seem to be their biggest problem. They have loyal customers - a good name brand - and some innovative games.

I think they will come out with mid priced console that is a noticeably more powerful with the WiiU, but not more than $100 more. I could also see them trying to work with Apple or Google, but don't really think that is possible because the cultures are so different. I would think they would have an easier time adding Google TV.  They want to be your Everything device.

Now if they could make a good glasses free 3D 4K TV that would work with their system.  They would have something really special - for wealthy people.
