I really don't know if most gamers are as fanatically devoted to just one platform as the posts on this site would suggest. I see Wii collecting dust next to xbox360 "or Ps3s in a lot of homes. Kids play with DS or iPad based on whatever their parents would let them. Brand loyalty to the exclusivity of others may or may not be THAT strong. Will Capcom infuriate an entire genration of monster hunter lovers by going to Nintendo instead of Sony? Unless their fans are also Sony fans, Capcom is going to believe their fans are MH devotees first.
When even Sony fans are deserting the Vita, what's the fear of Capcom in skipping Vita? Sony has swished on PSP Go, Vita (so far), anyone seen Sony Tablet P? It's like Ds and iPad had a child. Sony's frequent misses lately is not a very comforting sight for us as consumers. For 3rd parties whose business it is to profit from games, if they had the money to charitably devote to Sony, wouldnt they be much better off diverting those funds to the massively expanding Apps market? 3DS is now the safe bet, if not sure bet @ access to immersive portable gaming. Vita is a risky bet. As much as I'd love to see the Playstation brand prosper, counting on gratuitous 3rd party support is not too realistic.
